AMBIENT CONDITIONS

In this first phase the exploration is being done in air.

But for a more sophisticated approach, it is possible to control the following parameters:
1) ACOUSTIC VIBRATIONS:
The acoustic rumour is caused by the transmission of acoustic waves to the system
(and mainly to the probe itself).
But vacuum is an excellent accoustic isolator.
And because we already have the necessary instruments available,
we have chosen our nanopositioning system to be suitable also for use in vacuum.
2) IMPURITIES:
Impurities are present in the dust of the air, but is eliminated in vacuum.
3) HUMIDITY:
Humidity is present in the air, but is eliminated in vacuum.
4) OXYGEN:
Oxygen is present in the air and can oxidize the sample.
Oxygen is eliminated in vacuum.
5) CONTROLLED ATMOSPHERE:
In our vacuum chamber, we can make measurements in an atmosphere of whichever gas we like.

In conclusion: all above parameters (from 1 to 5) can be controlled very precisely by means of a vacuum chamber.

6) PHYSICAL VIBRATIONS:
Physical vibrations are caused by the normal movement of the earth and/or the building.
They can be controlled by an antivibration system.
We thought about putting an anti-vibration shelf inside the reactor which we already have.

7) TEMPERATURE:
The control of this parameter is written as the last point, but it does not mean it is the less important one.
